On August 28, 1969, he broke attendance records for any previous act at the International Hotel by attracting more than 100,000 fans with just 29 shows. The International even presented him with a gold belt to commemorate the achievement.

Elvis would go on to perform 636 sold-out shows at The International between 1969 and 1976. The resort became the Westgate in 2014, but it continues to celebrate Elvis’ time in its showroom.
