Gene Simmons, KISS bassist and lifelong Beatles fan, recently declared the Fab Four the greatest musical act in over 200 years—even comparing their impact to the Renaissance.
In an interview on The School of Greatness, Simmons praised The Beatles’ songwriting, calling tracks like “Yesterday” and “Help!” “perfect songs” with instant, unforgettable hooks. He highlighted McCartney as “the most successful songwriter in recorded history,” noting that “Yesterday” alone has been covered over 1,000 times.
Simmons also contrasted their concise brilliance with other legends, like The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction,” which takes nearly 40 seconds to reach its iconic lyric.
Do you think The Beatles are the undisputed greatest, or is Simmons exaggerating? Let us know! 🎶
