The ’60s icon is feeling ‘grateful’ for the support she’s received over the years.

 

Ann-Margret is sharing some appreciation for her fan base.

 

In an emotional post shared on social media this week, the iconic actress offered a poignant message to her fans about the unwavering support she has received throughout the course of her career.

 

On Wednesday, Ann-Margret, 84, shared a throwback black-and-white photo from her earlier days in the industry to Instagram, while writing to her followers, “To all of you wonderful people who’ve stuck with me through the years—thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

 

“Your love and support have been the brightest spotlight in my life. I’m forever grateful 💖.”

 

 

The ’60s sex symbol—who is notably one of Elvis Presley’s former flames—is known for a number of legendary films, including Viva Las Vegas, in which she co-starred alongside the King of Rock and Roll himself. Some of her other most memorable roles include films like State Fair (1962), Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Stagecoach (1966) and A Streetcar Named Desire (1984).

 

 

She has also received two Oscar nominations throughout her film career, including one for her supporting role in 1971’s Carnal Knowledge, as well as another nod for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in 1975’s Tommy.

 

“we love you just as much as you love us if not more💘 you’re special and you deserve it,” one of Ann-Margret’s fans wrote in response to her sweet Instagram post on Wednesday, while another user said “it’s been a pleasure,” to witness her career.

 

 

Someone else told the actress, “thank you for all the fantastic entertainment you have provided us. You brighten our lives, also many thanks for your loyalty to ELVIS. You are a true and loyal friend to him. ❤️❤️❤️”

 

“Ms Margret you are such a gorgeous bright star, who wouldn’t want to be your fan?” another user added, while calling her a “lovely lady inside and out ❤️.”
